Minnesotans who did not have health insurance last year and now owe a penalty on their 2014 federal taxes can still enroll in 2015 health coverage. MNsure’s special enrollment period goes through Thursday, April 30.
Those who don’t have health coverage for the rest of 2015 will risk paying the penalty again next year which will increase to 2% of taxable income or $325 per adult, whichever is greater.
